Laimburg is included in the new born NOI Technology Park for the research activity in the area of food science and technology. Laimburg Research Centre is looking to expand its team by recruiting a highly motivated

Senior Scientist – Meat processing/meat science (m/f), Code TP-SF-01

for the implementation of a multiple-year-program aimed at establishing a laboratory for processing technology and analysis with a focus on meat products.

Job   description

Your tasks will include the set-up of a food processing lab for speck and meat products. After the initial set-up phase, we expect you to independently carry out research projects, to obtain research funding and to lead the research group for meat processing/meat science. Candidates should be highly motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.

Profile of   requirements

Necessary requirements:

  • Master degree in Food Science and Technology or equivalent (min. 4 years)
  • Fluent in German and/or Italian

Common requirement:

  • Full possession of the legal prerequisites and permissions, which will permit an employment relationship in Italy
  • Full possession of the civil and political rights
  • Neither presence of criminal convictions nor current lawsuits caused by crimes

Desired   profile 

The following additional competence will be considered an advantage:

  • Multiannual research experience in processing of meat or meat products
  • Multiannual experience in product development of meat or meat products
  • Good publication record in food technology, food engineering, food science focused on meat or meat products
  • PhD in Food Science and Technology or equivalent, focused on meat products
  • Experience in project acquisition and coordination and proven communicational skills
  • Good communication skills in oral and written English
