The Laimburg Research Centre is the leading research institute for agriculture and food quality in South Tyrol (Italy). Job Description

The areas of responsibility are as follows:

Main tasks include analysis of the volatile composition of the Pinot blanc wines and musts with GC-MS and analysis of the aminoacidic content of musts and flavonol composition of Pinot blanc grapes with LC-MS, including method optimization, sample collection and preparation, determination of oenology parameters, evaluation of results and reporting.

Requirements

  • MSc in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Physics, Biology, Pharmacy or similar (completed university studies of at least four years attested by a diploma)

Desired additional competences:

  • Knowledge of analytical chemistry
  • Fluent in German and / or Italian
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English (can be evaluated during the interview)
  • Pertinent PhD, Post-Doc or work experience and a relevant publication record are an advantage
  • Experience of VOC analysis with GC-MS
  • Experience of primary metabolites with LC-MS
  • Availability August 2019
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Candidates should be highly motivated, able to work independently and possess good team-working skills

 Contract duration: until 30. 11. 2020,   full time
