Professional Training and Consulting

Ongoing professional training is important for enologists in order to keep up with the latest advances in the sector. Prompt and expert guidance will help to solve problems that winemakers encounter during vinification. Such problems – if ignored – not only have the potential to reduce flavour and quality but can also diminish commercial value.

Laimburg makes its consultation services available to every wine producer in South Tyrol. Consultations take place either on-site or at the Research Centre, depending on priority and location. Our consultants are available primarily via mobile phone or by e-mail.

The department’s activities and services include, among other things:

  • Consultation services regarding winemaking and quality improvement
  • Organisation of professional training that covers the latest developments in enological research

    Courses on general and specialised aspects of vinification
  • Seminars in technical wine tasting.
  • Continuing education and consultation services for distilleries 
  • Pick-up of wine samples by appointment for chemical analysis and tasting services by specialists
