Weather data

Laimburg weather station, which has been part of the estate since 1965, has been progressively upgraded and modernised over the years.

From its inauguration in 1965 to 1985, it was used to carry out meteorological measurements with the help of mechanical equipment such as thermographs and pluviographs. Analysis was limited to determining the average temperature throughout the day and registering the daily minimum and maximum temperatures. Rainfall quantities were summarised to daily totals. Ever since the station was fitted with electronic equipment in 1986, all meteorological parameters are measured and recorded hourly.

The Laimburg Research Centre weather station is located at 222.3 meters above sea level with the following geographic coordinates:

  • East longitude: 11° 17' and 18"
  • North latitude: 46° 22' and 59"
