1968 Establishment of the first research fields
1972 - 73  Construction of the experimental storage facility
1975 Official founding of the Laimburg Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry, in accordance with Provincial Act Number 53, issued November 3rd 
1977 - 79  Reconstruction of Laimburg’s former stables to create the Research Centre’s first premises
1978 Construction of the ‘Mair am Hof’ farmhouse in Teodone (Dietenheim) near Brunico (Bruneck) for experimentation in arable crop and grassland farming; acquisition of the ‘Seeburg’ external landholding near Bressanone (Brixen)
1979 Opening of the Agricultural Chemistry Laboratory
1980 ONC farms (state property) in Montefranco (Freiberg) near Merano (Meran) and the ‘Ölleitenhof’ landholding at Lake Caldaro (Kalterer See) are placed under Laimburg stewardship, for research in fruit growing and viticulture 
1983 ‘Botta’ farm (now ‘Happacher’ farm) placed under Laimburg stewardship for the high school of agriculture in Ora (Auer); direct management continues until 1990
1984 Establishment of the Laimburg technical library
1989 – 90  Construction of the Felsenkeller stone wine cellar, built by excavating into the mountainside.
1990 Construction of a field office in Oris (Eyrs) for research in vegetable production, arable crops and grassland farming; the ‘Binnenland’ landholding is given into stewardship by the Province of Trento (Trient)
1993 Expansion of Laimburg Winery
1994 Construction of The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle begins 
1995 Founding of the Passer Fish Hatchery, 
1996 – 99  Renovation of Laimburg’s main building and experimental storage facility; construction of the new Plant Protection Laboratory
1997 – 99  Remaining agricultural properties owned by the Province are placed under Laimburg stewardship
2001 Opening of The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle
2002 Initiation of work in the Molecular Biology Laboratory and of the set up of the Gene Bank
2002 – 2005  Acquisition and amelioration of seven hectares of land in Piccolongo (Piglon): three thousand cubic meters of excavated material were moved for the creation of a vineyard and a tree nursery
2003 – 2004  Further excavations into the mountainside for the expansion of the stone cellar
